OVERVIEW
I identified & solved a critical gap in the personal development market by designing Gol, a goal-setting mobile app that addresses the emotional & psychological barriers preventing busy professionals from achieving their aspirations. While existing productivity tools excel at task organization, they fail to provide motivational support when users inevitably lose momentum amid daily responsibilities & work demands.
Through targeted user research with working millennials, I uncovered that users already had defined goals & resources but struggled with consistency & overwhelm. I developed a psychology-based solution that breaks large goals into manageable steps while providing supportive content during moments of wavering resolve. The design process emphasized creating mental clarity & reducing cognitive load through thoughtful information architecture & visual design.
As the sole designer, I conducted comprehensive user interviews, competitive analysis, & usability testing to validate a unique approach that differentiates itself from traditional task management tools by addressing the "why" behind goal abandonment, not just the "what" of organization.
